This course can be undertaken by those with some computer skills. If you are in any doubt about your level of skills, check through the topic list in the Certificate II course section. If you understand most of the topics and feel confident in your ability to find, copy, move and delete files, create folders and install software, you probably have adequate skills to undertake this course without first completing a Certificate II course.
Cottonsoft's Certificate courses are accredited and recognised by vocational education training and employment authorities in every Australian state and territory. The distance education format allows participants to work at their own pace and on their own PC to gain computing skills and knowledge.
Unlike many correspondence courses when you study with Cottonsoft you receive the entire course and all of the assessment items when you start. The choice of when to study and how hard you work is up to you. At Cottonsoft we have a "hands off" study policy - a method of study that puts you in the drivers seat. We do however provide full support and personal assistance when you request it.
The course package that is supplied to participants includes easy to understand but comprehensive notes, activities and software. There are carefully sequenced topics presented in an attractive, high quality binder. The course uses a spiral curriculum structure to ensure that all concepts are developed and reinforced. Activities require the participant to apply the new concepts to their own situation. Assistance is available through our on-line tutors via our toll free phone support lines. Assistance is also available through our web site and email.
Assessment is by submission of assignments that require completion of tasks at the end of each topic.
