Cottonsoft has been supplying educational software throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia since 1987. These packages are supplied as site licences that allow an unlimited number of users at a particular site. The software is designed to be relevant to schools and easy to use. Careful design of the program structures ensure that they are able to be successfully used in a single 30 to 45 minute lesson. Software programs include:
KnowType - touch typing tutor.
The Strategist - strategy game - developing a lesser developed country.
World Climate - search world wide database of climate statistics & produce climate graphs.
International Trade - self paced tutorial on economic theories of international trade.
Cyclone Survivor - beat the timer in this simulation of a cyclone warning scenario.
In 2011 after a long diversion into the training market the team at Cottonsoft started to revise, update and rewrite these programs. In 2012 the first of them programs was released and The Strategist is now available again.
